Oliver Tatar "Air is not sold"

Family in loghouse two-storey loghouse, individual project

Director of ATV Transport, Oliver Tatar couldn't be anymore happy with his home. „My roots are in Hiiumaa and log-houses are close to my heart.” The green log-house fits in the garden suburb extremely well - the urban area, that's green with trees during the summer, resembles the countryside, according to papers, also bits of a town. Namely because of that, Oliver Tatar's and his family's snug home had to be adapted to the town environment. The corners of the house, where otherwise log tips would be extruding, are covered with cover boards and thus the house has been given a totally new outlook – the face of small town romantism. From the side of the street, the house is modestly hid behind a fence. The drive-way ends with a practical shed and a woodshed that were added on to the project according to the family's wishes. Since the add-ons are of the same face, there could be no doubt that add-ons would be violent or inappropriate. From the side of the yard, balconies strut out. And there is ample reason for that – two open terraces blend perfectly with the lot. In addition serve a practical function: as a place where to dry the laundry and gaze at the sun in the summer.

Home warmth is different than in the city

The move from an apartment to the suburbs was a bit of a surprise – the central-heated city apartment is no match for a stove-heated wooden house. The difference was sharp. "The air is much better here," Oliver glorifies. A Tulikivi stove really glows inside and home warmth truly resembles countryside. "When I come from skiing, I feel reassured that I made a fine choice," says Oliver, who is still at peace with the natural climate of a wooden house. The success of the choice is in addition affirmed by a few highly important facts – the home is child friendly and the sleep very sweet. As we speak, the one and a half year old daughter of the family prances around the snug living room. "The children have running space here," the family praises. Although the house doesn't have many square meters, the layout of the rooms and the ceiling that is raised by two logs leave a very spacious impression. Of the 140 square meters 120 are living space, the rest auxiliary rooms. Among them a room of utmost importance to the Nordic people - a sauna.

From first meetings to actions

The first time Oliver Tatar came acquainted with Finnlamelli log-houses was at a construction fair. "They were good marketers – useful information was given to me on the product. It was enough to understand what a company they were dealing with. "They do not sell air," the man accentuates the usefulness of good presentation and representation skills. Later on the men came into contact on a business level: ATV Transport, to which Oliver is tightly connected, started importing Finnlamelli houses to Estonia. Also then, the man experienced that he is dealing with a serious and quality valuing team. And it is of highest importance to the life span of a company. "I'm at the head of a company myself and know exactly, that in order to stay on the market for longer than a year, one has to bid on quality," Oliver Tatar remains certain.
But then the time came when Oliver’s family chose its home. So they started cooperation with a trusted partner. Oliver is still very happy: "Even during the construction boom, the work was precise to utmost details. We adapted the project so that it fitted our lot and our family. Also he didn't have to chase the crew that was the case with the crews of many other construction companies. The price-quality ratio of Finnlamelli is clearly defined. Yes, I believe that I'm still winning."
